The 2004 Southern Conference Football Rouser

TO: Southern Conference Media Members

FROM: Steve Shutt, Associate Commissioner

SUBJECT: 2004 SoCon Football Rouser

The 2004 Southern Conference Football Rouser is just over a month away. This year we will head to Spartanburg, SC where the brand-new Marriott Renaissance Park will serve as our headquarters. Enclosed with this memorandum is a schedule as well as a lodging and registration form.

As in previous years, we will have all of the SoCon head coaches as well as two student-athletes from each school in attendance.

The Rouser will begin on Sunday, July 25 with a reception at Gerhard’s Cafe, an outstanding Spartanburg restaurant. We will have our annual golf outing on Monday, July 26 at 1 p.m. at The Carolina Country Club followed by a cookout at the course.

We will host a Kickoff Breakfast on Tuesday, July 27 at 8:00 a.m. followed by interview sessions with the coaches and student-athletes starting at 9:30 a.m.

The deadline for reserving lodging is noon on Monday, July 5. With that day being a holiday, you may wish to submit your lodging request prior to Friday, July 2.

We hope to see you at the Rouser! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to give us a call.
