HOFSTRA ANNOUNCE COACHING DEPARTURES
HOFSTRA: Announced the resignations of assistant football coaches Brian Vaganek, Cazzie Kosciolek, and Michael Curry, and co-coordinator of video Eddie Allen.
HEMPSTEAD, New York * Hofstra University Head Football Coach Joe Gardi today announced that four members of his staff, three coaches and the co-coordinator of video, are leaving the University. Defensive Line Coach Brian Vaganek, Offensive Line Coach Cazzie Kosciolek, Offensive Line Assistant Michael Curry and Co-Coordinator of Video Eddie Allen have resigned effective February 4, 2004.
Vaganek, who has served at Hofstra for three seasons, is leaving the Pride to become the Head Football Coach at Fort Scott Community College in Fort Scott, Kansas. Vaganek served as linebackers and special teams coach at Fort Scott in 1994. He is taking Kosciolek as his offensive coordinator and Allen as his wide receivers coach. Curry is returning to his native Florida (Fort Lauderdale) with his family.
Prior to coming to Hofstra, Vaganek spent six seasons as an assistant at The College of William and Mary, one year at Fort Scott, and one year at Highland (KS) Community College. Kosciolek completed his second season at Hofstra in 2003 after spending four years as an assistant at the University of New Haven. Curry, who was a four-year letterman and a two-year
