BASH AT THE BIG HOUSE TO TAKE MESSAGE STATEWIDE
Press Events Set For Houghton, Grand Rapids, Detroit
HOUGHTON, Mich. -- A "Bash at the Big House" Media Tour is set for next week with events in Houghton, Mich., Grand Rapids, Mich., and Detroit.
Bash at the Big House will take place Saturday, November 6, 2004, with Michigan Tech hosting two-time defending national champion Grand Valley State in an NCAA Division II football game at Michigan Stadium. The NCAA II attendance record of 61,143 will be on the line as the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rivals look to eclipse the mark set back on Sept. 29, 1979, when Pennsylvania schools Shippensburg and Slippery Rock battled at Michigan Stadium.
Veteran Michigan Tech football coach Bernie Anderson and Grand Valley State gridiron boss Chuck Martin will be present at each location to speak in detail about "Bash" and answer questions as well.
