John Cooper compiled a 111-43-4 record at Ohio State from 1988-2000, trailing only the legendary Woody Hayes for wins by a Buckeye football coach. He took Ohio State to 11 bowl games in 13 seasons. Cooper also coached at Tulsa and Arizona State, capturing National Coach of the Year honors at Arizona State in 1986. Powlus was named National Player of the Year as a high school senior in Berwick, Pa., before becoming a four-year starter for the Fighting Irish from 1994-1997.
